Following the release of the new shades of the ever famous Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 are the new items for the eye area. New shades have been introduced for the Secret Concealer line and a new product completely, the Under Eye Perfector. The Under Eye Perfector comes in two shades for correcting and brightening under the eyes and three new shades added for the Secret Concealer color range, additional shades are now available for darker skin tones. Both are of the super creamy texture all of Laura Mercier’s products are known for, won’t crease, cake or settle into fine lines. I already love the Secret Concealer so adding the Under Eye Perfector for brightness will be great! Who doesn’t seek bright and flawless eyes, like you’ve had 8hrs of sleep?

Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightner Review

YSL set the scene with their pen style eye brightener and everyone has been trying to catch up ever since. Although YSL is the original and still high on my list for best eye brightner-concealer, there have been several others that followed that I liked almost as much, sometimes even more depending on my needs. I was thrilled when I heard Bobbi Brown was coming out with one of her own. This was the one item she didn’t have that I had a major lemming for. I love the portability of the pen style brightner-concealers.

And I must say it’s been worth the wait! The consistency is fabulous, not too watery and not too thick, so it doesn’t get cakey. I wore this alone on first try, I did not have too much to conceal that particular day, just needed a bit of ‘wake me up’! Second time around, I used Bobbi’s concealer pot first than this over top. Also worked great, and it wore all day without caking. I did touch up once during the day, and that was fine too. No build-up then either. The shade ranges are great; better than most as a matter of fact, eight shades to choose from. My only complaint is the size. It’s tiny, and for $38 I only wonder if it’s worth it. Price has never kept me from buying something I truly love so; I’ll have to mull it over a bit more, to see if it will remain a staple item! Over all, I give this a B.

The newest addition to the HD collection offers an oil-free, medium-coverage concealer that covers flaws and imperfections, while remaining invisible to high-definition televisions and the naked eye. The soft-focus effect brightens the eye area while reducing the appearance of fine lines, leaving a natural, radiant look. A soft and creamy texture blends impeccably for long wear yet is never dry or cakey. The flexible tip is supposed to be good for blending and reaching those hard-to-reach spots, but I didnt' find it to be very efficient. But I wasn't looking at the tip when I bought this, just the product. And its FAB! Not bad in price either, for $28 you get the same as what most other lines charge upwards of $40-$60. While I don’t’ mind paying the big bucks for an item that is just plain miraculous, I love it even more when I get that same miraculous product for less! Finish this off with the HD setting powder and you have a long wearing polished to perfection face!
