Kate Spade's New "Supercalifragilipstick"

Kate Spade products are what our dreams are made of, that’s why we are over the moon to hear that Kate will be teaming up with Poppy King to develop the line’s first cosmetic products. The line will be called “Supercalifragilipstick”! The precious gem is housed in glamorous golden tubes and comes in a sophisticated variety of pinks and reds, as well as a friendly price tag of $24. In addition to the lipstick launch, Kate Spade will launch a line of cosmetic cases to go along with the new lipsticks. I’m sure they will be cute and classy, just like all else Kate Spade.Let's hope for the line to continue into other beauty product, so we can fill out beloved Kate bags with the glam and sophistication of Kate Spade glosses, powders, blushes, etc.  The product will be available in stores and online in September, just in time for the Fall Season!

Siren Red Lips

 The fall and winter months are fast approaching and with dark, alluring lips the look of the season, some of us shudder with anxiety! Finding the perfect red lip might seem like an easy task but for some, like myself, finding the red lipstick is a never ending task. And, not everyone is comfortable wearing such a dark shade, but we must stay in tune with what is going in the beauty arena!

Wearing the red lip does not necessarily mean having to wear a full coverage, opaque or creamy red lip. We all associate the red lip with sirens like Marilyn Monroe but, I’ll tell you, I can’t pull off that look. Maybe for a special event but for everyday, I just can’t do it! You can ease into the look with one that is more sheer, like a wash or stain. One that is perfect for this is Lipstick Queen’s Medieval lipstick. It looks deep, dark and truly red in the tube, but on the lip sheer and stunning! It has a texture and shine more like a lip balm but gives that perfect ting of red. I have been wearing this during the day with any makeup look and it’s absolutely perfect! I’m actually looking forward to wearing this during the colder months; it’ll be the perfect imitation of a “been out for a brisk walk on a cool morning” look!

With all the buzz going around the industry about Lipstick Queen’s collection of unique lip products, I had to pay a visit to the counter and see for myself what the fuss was all about. Her concepts and creations are unique and inspiring. With her understanding that every woman seeks instant glamour when wearing lipstick, she’s developed a line of lip products that are not only unique but undeniably glamorous. Her Oxymoron Lip Gloss is a favorite for me, subtle yet smooth and slightly matte, like a lip stain. It certainly is an oxymoron! Yet the Medieval lipstick caught my eye the moment I hit the counter. Its intense red shade is stunning. But, don’t’ be scared off by the intensity of the red shade, its shiny and sheer. Almost like a red flush after being out for an afternoon walk in the snow. From natural to glamorous, matte to shimmer and sheen, there is a lipstick for everyone. Well, for me it’s been two, three…oh who cares! Lipstick is a girl’s best friend!
