Dior Addict Lipstick Re-launch 2011

A re-launch of Dior Addict Lipstick brings a new formulation and a huge range of color shades. Some will be exclusive to locations, but none the less an impressive collection bound to make Dior lovers rejoice. The new formulation brings shine and volume like never before, infused with Mirror Jelly. The unique ingredient brings new components to the new lipstick; polymers to provide long wear; second-skin effect for exceptional hydrating properties and silicon oil for a light, smooth texture. The lower wax content also sets the stage for a light-reflecting, voluminous effect. The 56 trend-setting shades are directed straight from the runways’ to our stores to offer a wide range of options for the Dior woman who isn’t’ afraid to experiment with color. The collection is scheduled to roll out in March-April 2011.

Laura Mercier Copper Brown Kohl vs. Sephora #8 Waterproof Liner

One of my favorite eyeliner shades is Laura Mercier’s Copper Brown Kohl. I use this regularly and have repurchased over and over again. I would go into panic mode should they ever discontinue it, so I started a search for a dupe. Just in case! I came across Sephora’s waterproof liners during one of my visits to the store. They are an automatic style pencil with a blender tip on one end. The color that I matched to Laura’s was #8. It is an exact match to my beloved! The only differences I can tell are that Laura’s are a kohl and very blendable. Sephora’s is a just as exceptional and proposes to be waterproof. I have never tested this out so I can’t attest to that. And, the price. Laura’s is $19 and Sephora's is $12.

I love both as much as the other and both are in my liner wardrobe. I have been a long time lover of Laura Mercier so I will never give this liner up. But should they ever decide to break my heart and take the Copper Brown out of their collection, I have one that will help heal the heart break!

Jo Malone Tea Blends Spring 2011

I am completely thrilled that Jo Malone is launching a new collection! This spectacular collection will be inspired by the British tradition of 4 o’clock tea. The collection was created by Christine Nagel. You might recognize her name as the creator of Jo Malone’s last collection! This collection will consist of five fragrances reminiscent of tea time; Assam and Grapefruit, Earl Grey and Cucumber, Fresh Mint Leaf, Sweet Lemon, and Sweet Milk. From this collection you will be able to enjoy your tea the way you like it!

Assam and Grapefruit: grapefruit, violet, rhubarb, rose, cardamom, patchouli, musk, almond.

Earl Grey and Cucumber: bergamot, jasmine water, apple, davana, angelica root, cucumber, cedarwood, musk, vanilla, beeswax.

Fresh Mint Leaf: bergamot, basil, mint, violet, jasmine water, rhubarb, cedarwood, musk, maté.

Sweet Lemon: pineapple, peach and fresh green cypress.

Sweet Milk : a soft oriental accord, includes notes of bergamot, star anise, heliotrope, caramel, milk accord, musk, vanilla, almond

As of right now, they will only be releasing the fragrance collection in the 30ml size with no body products. And these will be limited so when they are gone, they are gone! The Tea France Blends will be available in March, starting with initial release in the U.K and worldwide following.

CND Cuticle Eraser

One of my New Year resolutions was much like millions of others; save money! One way I decided to do that was by limiting my salon visits for manicures and pedicure. I can do my own in between visits to the salon, however my cuticles are atrocious which is one of my main concerns when getting my manicures. No matter how much lotion or cuticle oil I use, they are constantly dry and always need a good weekly trimming. My nail technician suggested I try CND Cuticle Eraser months ago, and I just never got around to getting some. I finally picked up a tube and have been using it daily and let me tell you, I am impressed! I have a straggler here and there but overall, my cuticles look like they belong to someone else! It has been two weeks of once daily use and I have already bypassed this week’s manicure. I did a quick nail trim, clipped a few loose cuticles, changed my polish and it looks like I have had a professional manicure. My goal is to get a manicure only once a month, so I’m crossing my fingers for that. But overall, I give this a big thumb up; great price and results are always the best!

Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color SPF 12

The new and modern formulation of Bobbi’s new creation leaves lips moisturized and conditioned, while providing a crisp and clear color payoff. The formulation is created with a colorless base, giving the lipstick the true color of the pigment; without being heavy. Not to mention that the creamy formulation also contains SPF 12 for all day protection. The collection will be available at Bobbi Brown counters and online in February 2011.
