Bobbi Brown Corrector & Creamy Concealer

Bobbi Brown has taken her number one beauty secret and made it even better. The reformulated version offers perfect coverage, with a rich and creamy texture that blends to smooth perfection while erasing dark circles. The two step process begins with a pink or peach toned corrector to brighten and neutralize, while a yellow toned creamy concealer lightens for a youthful under eye look. Included in the reformulated release is a Creamy Concealer kit that contains a creamy concealer and a yellow toned pressed powder to seal in the perfected look. With the vast shade collection there are shades for every skin tone. Carry the Creamy Concealer kit for touch-ups during the day or to set and blend for refreshed perfection.

MAC Viva Glam- Lady Gaga 2

After a much too long of a wait, I could not wait to get my hands on the Lady Gaga 2 lipstick and gloss. First off, I love Lady Gaga so I was so excited that she was doing two campaigns in a row, a first for any spokes person. And I was excited for the nude collection, on the press release it looked like my kind of nude. The first Gaga for Viva Glam was too pink and cool for me, so this must have been the one I was meant to have!

I must say, it is not quite the nude I thought it would be. But not in a bad way. I thought it would have more of a peachy tone, maybe something that was going to be nude with just a hint of soft peachy-pinky so that you don’t look like you are wearing concealer on your lips. You know? So I was surprised that it was a very warm nude with more of a golden beige tone. If you are fair and cool toned, I am afraid this might really wash you out. I am very warm toned with olive complexion and as a long as I wear a nude liner, such as Kevyn Aucoin’s Medium Lip liner or Edward Bess’s Natural Lip Liner, of which both are warm toned nudes, than this will be a wonderful nude for you. Without a good base liner, this was horrible on me. It looked like a true beige lipstick and almost ashy. I must also mention that I have highly pigmented lips so this is a factor too. The liner really gives a good base and tones down the pigmentation on my lips and allows the lipstick and gloss color to really be the star it was meant to be.

I wore both the gloss and liner with a really dark smoky eye and it was fantastic. I also wore it with a pale eye but I had to really amp up the blush. So considering that I could wear it with both of my favorite looks, makes me a very happy girl! It isn’t an everyday nude for me, but a wonderful nude none the less. And to be able to help in the MAC Aids campaign is not such a bad thing. Now, if I could just get tickets to her concert, I would be an even happier little monster!

Peter Thomas Roth Clini-Matte All Day Oil Control Spf 20

For those with normal, combination or oily skin, this will be your guardian angel! My biggest peeve with sunscreen is how it makes your skin shiny or oily within a short time. You shouldn’t have to choose between being sun-safe or looking matte, and with this you don’t. Finally, a sunscreen designed for the face that gives clinical strength sun protection while keeping you shine free. I used this as the last step in my skincare routine, and I was matte for a good four hours, with just a tad of shine after that. I was not completely shine free after the initial four hours, but it was a 100% improvement from my other PTR sunscreen. My foundation went on smoothly and effortlessly, and even seemed to last longer. I can assume that this is because I didn’t have an oil slick on my face!

It comes in a 1.7oz tube with a pump on top, which is great for getting just the amount you need. And it keeps the germs and air out to avoid contamination. You need very little of this, so don’t over apply. It’s a good thing you don’t need much, because my only complaint is the $48 price tag. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricey side but I am loving it right now and it works, so I guess I can’t complain too much if it really works. But I can plead with them to maybe consider lower the shock factor when you reach the register!

Pacifica Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter

I have always been a lover of coconut scents; but not all coconut scents have met with my approval. I guess it has come down to my preferring a more smoky coconut, you could say. I don’t like them sweet and I don’t particularly like them smelling like suntan lotion. And I don’t like them to overpower me or those around me! Not everyone likes coconut, plus I prefer my scents to be my little secret!

Nothing will transport you to that warm tropical island faster than this deliciousness in a tube! It is a divine coconut scent with a touch of warmness and toastiness. Not sweet and icky, but a coconut a grownup can enjoy. I love that the body butter absorbs quickly and leaves no residue. It is uber moisturizing so it’s the perfect cream for the cold winter months. Pacifica has a range of scents from fruity to floral; the formulation is 100% vegan with no animal testing, free of parabens and does not contain anything harmful to people or the environment. The price point is very affordable considering that some can run upwards of $50! You can enjoy 8oz for$18, how great is that! For a complete scent experience, team it with their shower gel and perfume in the same scent and be scented from head to toe in Indian Coconut Nectar! I get mine at either Sephora or Whole Foods Market, but have also seen it at Sprouts as well.
