CHANEL ROUGE COCO LIPSTICK

Rouge Coco promises to be one of Chanel’s biggest launches this year. According to Peter Philips’, Global Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, “Rouge Coco fascinates me, because I’ve never seen a texture this comfortable and easy to apply. It’s the ready-to-wear lipstick. Just one sweep over the lips colours them and covers them in a melt-away balm … I like the idea that women from the gloss generation, who are afraid of lipstick, can return to this essentially feminine beauty step with Rouge Coco.” –Peter Philips

For the Chanel aficionado’s who have been waiting for this, the wait is over. Due to be on counter February 25th, these beauties already have a following. Said to be a cross of the Hydrabase and Rouge Allure, it allows for adjustability of coverage for color intensity, and is still hydrating yet is creamy like the Rouge Allures. I’m excited about this lipstick, since I’m more of a gloss girl I like the idea of its texture yet it still has pigment for color payoff! I’ll be waiting at the counter on February 25th and will update with my thoughts once I’ve tried it!

KenzoKi Part 2-Sensual Twilight Cream

The ‘Sensual’ fragrance from Kenzoki is based on the scent of steamed rice, soft and sensual; the soft scent of skin. I first encountered the skincare and bodycare of the KenzoKi line when Nordstrom used to carry it. It then went onto Sephora for awhile and I was thrilled that we were starting to distribute this fabulous line in the US. It is based on Japanese skin care technology and we all know and see how advanced they are; ever see a Japanese woman with bad skin? Unfortunately, it’s one of those lines that the mass markets here didn’t catch onto. But its fabulousness is not diminished because of it. It’s now only sold on Kenzousa.com, one site I visit often for replenishment of my KenzoKi products. It’s an extension of the Kenzo line and we all know and love Amour, so just imagine this scented line to be of that family, just a touch lighter and softer.

In continuing the collection, I am switching to the KenzoKi facial care line. It too is part of the ‘Sensual’ fragrance line but ever so slightly scented as to not irritate those sensitive to fragrance in their skincare. To complete your cleansing and night time routine, add Twilight Cream. It’s a night cream that replenishes and plumps skin and prepares it for renewal while you are sleeping. You wake up with completely radiant skin that is ready to take on the tasks of the day. This is ever so slightly scented with the ‘Sensual’ scent but will not irritate sensitive skin. I am super sensitive to scents in my skincare but having used this whole line, I’ve not had any reactions to the scent. What I do get is a softly scented experience from head to toe to send me off to sweet slumber! It’s a soufflĂ© like texture that instantly absorbs so you don’t have slick layer or film; just smooth, plump, silky skin. This comes in a 1.7oz jar for $60 at Kenzokiusa.com

Marc Jacobs splashes into Spring

These limited edition splashes are inspired by the decadences of a patisserie. The perfect summer treat; an inviting and invigorating splash for your senses. In a 10oz splash with enclosed atomizer, splash or spray from head to toe and enjoy the crisp, tantalizing world of Apple and enjoy its mouth watering fruity aroma; Pomegranate with blends of juicy fruits, musk, amber and vanilla; and if something a bit more comforting is more to your liking, Biscotti will tempt you with a spicy blend of pistachio blossom and vanilla. Biscotti is my favorite right now, but Pomegranate and Apple tempt me as well!

KenzoKi Part 2-Sensual Enveloping Wash

The ‘Sensual’ fragrance from Kenzoki is based on the scent of steamed rice, soft and sensual; the soft scent of skin. I first encountered the skincare and bodycare of the KenzoKi line when Nordstrom used to carry it. It then went onto Sephora for awhile and I was thrilled that we were starting to distribute this fabulous line in the US.

I have extremely sensitive skin and this has not caused irritation in my time of usage. The Enveloping Wash is an oil gel type of cleanser and makeup remover. We wouldn’t expect any other kind from KenzoKi since the Japanese are the ones who came up with this innovative concept. The Enveloping Wash removes all traces of dirt and grime from your face without stripping. You’re left with silky skin that is clean and soft. Apply the oil gel onto dry skin and massage in to loosen dirt and makeup. Add a bit of water to your hands and massage into the oil. It begins to emulsify when the water is added so you can simply rinse it off or use a washcloth to remove. Again, the skincare line pair’s technology with science to balance performance with pleasure, and of course the scent of the ‘Sensual’ line is just as fabulous! This comes in a 5.1oz bottle for $28 at Kenzousa.com

Philosophy “Heavenly Light” Illuminator

I really hoped I would like this when I ordered it. It was on back order from Qvc and I was having major lemmings! It ends up, I love it! I am on an illuminator kick these days, its winter and I just feel like I need that little bit of “glow”. You know, the kind you see on all of the fresh faced, rosy cheeked girls when you are out taking your winter afternoon stroll. I like to use this under my foundation, high on my cheekbones. Well as high as I can get, I wasn’t born with the sculpted cheekbones like some of those hateful girls out there! I am just kidding about the “hateful”, truth is I am green with envy of those cheekbones! Using it under my foundation gives me just the right amount of light and illumination. Using it over my foundation gives me a bit more, so I only do that when I am having a night out. It only comes in pink, which works for my light-medium skin tone; I would think that if you have a darker complexion, it would show up more pink. I only fear that if you have a deep complexion it would come up ashy, but on QVC it didn’t on the model with the deep tones. But they use diffusing lenses so who knows! It is very light weight and does not feel heavy under my foundation so I love that. For me that’s important, with moisturizer, primer, illuminator then foundation I often feel like I have too much on, but this is okay actually. It is packaged in a nifty little tube with an attached brush that you click open and squeeze to dispense the illuminator onto the brush. Overall, I think this is a good illuminator, especially if you have light to dark tones. I’m still iffy on the deep skin tones but I’ll keep you posted on that!

KenzoKi Part 1(continued)-Sensual Beneficial Water

Sensual Beneficial Water is a new way to wear fragrance yet get some skin care nourishment at the same time. It softens and moisturizes lightly yet scents your skin at the same time. It is alcohol free so you will not get all day wear, but with its lightly scented formula, you can re-apply anywhere you are without bothering anyone else, like other fragrances can. This is a scent for you to enjoy, a scent that stays close to you. I often apply this at bedtime and it’s perfect since it does not overwhelm your senses; it’s just a bit of sensual seduction! This comes in a 3.4oz size for $45 and is available at Kenzousa.com

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizers offers new shades

Laura Mercier offer three new shades in her best selling Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 and Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 Oil free. Now there is a shade for those that are in between Nude and Sand with neutral undertones, those in between Almond and Sand with neutral undertones, as well as one for deeper skin tones with a warmer undertone. The formulation stays the same so no changes there, just a wider range of color! This is great news for those who couldn't find a good match, and you just used one that was close because you LOVED the formulation! Nude was always too light but Sand too dark, so I'm out to get the Bisque!

Continuing the ‘Sensual’ ritual, follow your bath with a slathering of Bare Body Night Cream. You will drift off to sleep with a dose of deep nourishment and a tiny hint of the ‘Sensual’ scent to relax your mind and body. It is called a night cream, but I use this as an everyday body cream and of course, it works just as well during the day! It is a soufflĂ© texture, is highly nourishing and hydrating but it absorbs very quickly. It is just ever so slightly scented with the ‘Sensual’ fragrance, so you can use the Sensual Beneficial Water after, or a spritz of your favorite perfume. Again, this follows the tradition of blending science with nature giving you the perfect balance of performance and pleasure! Available in a 6.8oz jar for $48 at Kenzousa.com
