Bond No. 9 introduces Andy Warhol’s Montauk

NEW YORK, NY, May 12, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — Kicking off summer 2010, Bond No. 9 introduces the new Andy Warhol Montauk fragrance. The fifth in Bond No. 9’s series of Warhol collectible eaux de parfum, Bond No. 9 Andy Warhol Montauk, is an androgynous male-female summer perfume. The fragrance takes a new approach to the genre of beach scent: It riffs on the duality of country and city, rural and urban. Not your usual summer vacation fragrance, it was inspired by Warhol’s forays to Long Island’s farthest reach. Depicting Andy Warhol Montauk as the world’s first twilight beach scent, the bottle’s surface design displays Warhol’s iconic Sunsets, dating from1972—one year after the artist discovered Montauk.

Escape to seaside Montauk this summer with Bond No. 9 Andy Warhol Montauk, back to the 1970’s and 1980’s Andy Warhol. The fragrance captures the windswept days and sexy nights of the Montauk twilight with a fresh and tangy mix of blueberry, wild bergamot, hyacinth, lily of the valley, honeysuckle, maple, red oak driftwood and finally warm amber. Housed in a unique bottle designed with a screen print of Andy Warhol’s abstract work of vibrant colors which are reminiscent of a Montauk sunset, there will be four shade-print designs. Each bottle will have a distinctly different front and back, so that customers have the choice of which “sunset” will be to their liking. The newest scent inspired by Andy Warhol’s seaside town of Montauk will be available Memorial Day weekend at Bond no.9 and select Saks Fifth Avenue stores.
