Edward Bess masters the nude lip

Smoky eyes, whether a daytime soft or dark and sultry for evening are always in trend. To provide a good balance when wearing a smoky eye, a good nude lip is always called for. It sounds easy, but it’s always not so easy since nude to one is not nude to another. Also, some nudes tend to wash out and look grey or ashy if the right tone is not found.

Nude Lotus Ultra Slick Lipstick
Desert Glow Deep Shine Lipgloss

I am in love with the Edward Bess line, for its quality and minimalistic style that always delivers. The lip collection from his line are popular items, with its beginning in the lip wardrobe and now the individual lipsticks, glosses and lip liner. And there is reason, its creamy texture and superb pigmentation lends  great coverage and color payoff. And the light fig scent is a pleasant surprise as well. I’ve found Nude Lotus and Desert Glow to be an excellent combination to achieve the natural nude lip. Nude Lotus Ultra Slick Lipstick delivers the “just my lips” tone, as it offers a  beige-pink tint without the slightest hint of grey, so non of the ashiness. Then top off with a bit of the Desert Glow Deep Shine gloss for golden warmth and depth and you have nude lip perfection. Each item is available at Bergdorf Goodman or Edwardbess.com.
