Guerlain Meteorites: Beige Chic 03 vs Beige Teint 02

Since the revamping of the Meteorites collection, there have been a few changes to the much beloved little pearls. It will have to be interpreted by the user which they will like more, the original or the new version. Both have offerings, and I’m sure there will be likes and dislikes. I personally like both equally, however slightly different they are. I had used the original Beige Chic for years and just started using the Beige Teint, and honestly like both equally and see very little difference in wear.

The original Beige Chic offered shades of gold, tan and light bronze that give the illusion of soft light and airbrushed harmony. There was virtually no color in the original Beige Chic, just a bit of a sheer uniformity for the appearance of a perfect complexion. The new Beige Teint however has two new shades of pearls added to tone down redness and ruddiness, as well as the original gold, tan and light bronze. In the new version I see very little discrepancy in the wear to the original version. There is still very little color as it too was meant to create the illusion of light and perfection.

What I also love about the new version is the packaging. It is so much more user friendly. The original came in a cardboard container that had a full lid that slid down over the whole item. This often times gave out a huge puff of powder and was not the most durable in packaging. The new version offers a round plastic container with a metal like finish and a lid that covers only the top. So now you won’t have to force down the lid over the whole container. And I’m sure it will be much more durable. The container looks bigger, however the original version offered .33oz of product while the new offers .30oz even though it looks bigger. It’s only the container that is bigger not the amount of the actual product. There was also a price increase from $53 to $56, not too bad since the packaging is much more user friendly and durable. Overall, I’m still quite pleased with the Meteorites performance. Sometimes when a revamping is done, they change the product so much that it does not even seem to be the same product. But Guerlain was mindful of the Meteorites following and gave us another fabulous product!
